Lady in Red
Table Rock State Park, 158 E Ellison Ln, Pickens, SC 29671, USA
To start off, I wasn't planning on writing a blog post on this outfit but this dress and the entire photoset was too good that I had to write one just so I can share all these stunning photos. This is by far my favorite photoshoot of all time.
I met up with Alina Kolberg this past weekend in Asheville and did a cute record store shoot at Harvest Records. This was my second time shooting with her–the first when we were still sort of learning the ropes of photography and it was pleasant to see how much we've improved. If you're in the Asheville area, give Alina a follow on Instagram or look at her website.
When Alina mentioned she wanted to do a shoot in a record store, the first thought that came into my mind was Wes Anderson. I recently got this thick sweater dress from Lulu's and knew I wanted to feature it in this styled shoot.
I've been MIA for awhile now, but I finally had the time to style and shoot with a new photographer this past week! I reached out to Mary Beth when I heard she was in town to do a small collaboration and she agreed. Check out more of her work here.
The seasons are changing and you know what that means. Spring clothing is officially hitting the sales rack to make room for fall/winter clothes. I was perusing the Anthropologie website and found this adorable jumpsuit on sale (plus an extra 30% off at the time) and I had to snag it. Greenville is still 80 degrees so when I wore this out, I was perfectly comfortable.
It's been a hot minute since I've written a post but I told myself I wouldn't post an outfit picture unless I have outfit worthy of posting.
I've been really into the wrap trend lately, so I've been window shopping for a lot of wrap clothing but nothing has caught my eye more than this linen button down skirt from Anthropologie. I was rummaging through their sales rack and found this boho midi skirt with the softest green color and cream stripes. It's also available in a peach/cream duo. I immediately fell in love with how it moved and how flattering it cinched my waist plus made me look taller than my 5'5 self.
Wrap dresses are the new summer trend. Every girl needs a staple one in her closet in the summer time; you can wear it casually by pairing it with all white shoes or loafers or wear it out for a GNO by slipping on some heels.
This was my first time buying off of Boohoo and I was a bit wary at first because sizes are converted a bit off sometimes (ladies, we all know this problem). I ended up buying a UK 8 which converts to a US 4. I should have gotten a UK 10 to be honest. The dress is a bit short for my liking, but nothing a little shorts underneath won't help.
For those of you who don't know me my favorite flowers are sunflowers (daisies coming a close second). I've always dreamed of being surrounded by these tall flowers, being amongst their bright, yellow faces. So when I found out that there was a small patch of sunflowers near Greenville, I made plans to finally, finally have a field day in the sunflower field.
