To start off, I wasn't planning on writing a blog post on this outfit but this dress and the entire photoset was too good that I had to write one just so I can share all these stunning photos. This is by far my favorite photoshoot of all time.
I met Lucas (linked is his growing IG!) about six years ago, somewhere along the line, he picked up photography, and I eventually got into photography + modeling and we had always wanted to collaborate together. It wasn't until recently that we finally set up a date to shoot. He didn't have a vision in mind (he recently picked his camera back up) so I suggested a nice mountain, indie theme. I wanted to go somewhere scenic, and he knew exactly where to go.
I knew for this look, I needed something that flowed easily with every step I took, so I scoped out Nordstrom Rack and found this absolutely stunning deep red dress from Free People. Great news is, it was on sale. Not going to lie, it's a really heavy dress, but oh my word, the movement I got from it was everything I wanted. The fabric was great quality, and it had a slightly deep v-neck for some little cleavage.
I paired it off with my white-grey Zara hat, and my sock booties. In some pictures, I have a chunky white cardigan from Express (now 40% off! Check link below) just to create more texture.
Hope you enjoy the photos as much as Lucas and I did!
