Instagrammable Coffee Shops in GVL

Greenville, SC, USA

Coffee shops have been popping up lately in my city and I figured it's about time to write up a post about my favorite ( and Instagrammable) coffee shops here in Greenville! This post is very picture-heavy but worth it!

1) Village Grind
My all time favorite coffee shop because it holds a special place in my heart. They recently renovated and expanded across the street from their old location and it's still as perfect and homey as ever. I first discovered this shop when I moved back to Greenville after being away for six years (college and just wanting to stay in Charleston for two more years) and this is where I started my new life in Greenville. I've had so many coffee dates with new people here and met so many amazing creative people that I just cannot thank them enough for just existing. Also, their coffee is top notch as well. Lindsey, the owner, makes her syrups in house so it's all locally made. Her shop has a beautiful sun roof window with plants hanging and it's just a dream. Pro-Tip: They sell homemade donuts on Sundays.

2) Junto Coffee
They just opened and they're already my favorite. Natural lighting floods this beautiful open aired place. It's one of the biggest coffee shops I've been to and I'm so thankful for that. A variety of seatings are available. You can sit at the coffee bar, along the windows, in their wicker chairs, regular tables, couches, and even their platform seatings that sits a party of people that are adorned with comfy pillows. You can sit by yourself and never have to worry about being distracted by other people's conversations because they're so much space between the seatings. You and your beau can cozy in your own little world on their sofa and enjoy each other's company. They even have a ping pong table. Bonus points for serving golden milk latte (which other Greenville coffee shops does not offer!) Follow their IG.

3) Pharmacy Coffee (this one is in Spartanburg, about 35 minutes from downtown GVL)
Pharmacy Coffee is STUNNING. Their pop of color is blue and the moment I walked in, I was mesmerized. All natural lighting with beautiful industrial light fixtures, and a picture perfect tile design for your shoe pictures. On top of that, their signature latte, the Honeybee, was delicious. I've only been here once because it is so far out from where I am, but this would easily be my second favorite coffee shop. It's located in the Montgomery Building in downtown Spartanburg.

4) Methodical Coffee
One of the first coffee shops I've been to in GVL. Tucked away in its little corner in One City Plaza. It's a tiny, two story, simple coffee shop that will please any minimalists. They play records, and serve local pastries and food here. There are plenty of seating is very limited available here. Outdoor seating, tables upstairs, bar seating, and they even recently added a gathering table in the Bank of America building next door! I've spent many days/mornings here working and having coffee dates. They open late on the weekends to serve alcohol (wine + beer), so that's a plus! Follow their IG.

5) Grateful Brew
Located on S. Pleasantburg, this one is a cute little architectural gem. They sell beer on tap, in their fridge, and coffee. They also have a food truck calendar, so I recommend checking out their website to see what trucks will be there if you're planning on visiting. Beautiful macrame planters hang from their ceiling and there's a bomb mural you see when you approach the bar. Natural lighting and dogs are welcome! Tip: They stop serving espresso at 5PM, but their iced coffees, nitro, and brewed coffee is all day. Follow their IG.

6) Barista Alley (located in downtown Greer)
Had to also mention this sweet cute little coffee shop in Greer. They sell crepes, and smoothie bowls so BONUS. Local paintings adorn the walls of this coffee, with huge windows that allow natural lighting to seep in. Follow their IG.

7) Bridge City Coffee
Quiet little coffee shop located away from the busy lifestyle of downtown. Located right off Wade Hampton, this coffee shop is brightly lit from windows that circle the entire store, and the interior is bright with their choice of orange. One sofa and two arm chairs are available for big parties, as well as window sill seating. Follow their IG.

That's it for now! I do know there will be future shops opening and I'll do a part two to this. Until next time!
